Why them?
The Wichita/Hutchinson Labor Federation only endorses candidates who pledge to stand with working people when it counts. We're looking for leaders who understand that when workers have a voice on the job, everyone benefits—families get ahead, businesses do better, and our whole community is stronger.
The candidates listed have signed "The Chance to Make Life Better, The Freedom to Join a Union" pledge, demonstrating their commitment to respect workers' right to organize, speak up when employers try to intimidate or silence their employees, and support the freedom to join a union without fear.
Local elections for city council and school board matter for working families. The officials we elect make decisions about public services, local economic development, and how our tax dollars get spent—all issues that directly affect our paychecks and our communities.
